Savills Dubai appointed as master agent for Expo Village

Phase 1 of Dubai World Trade Centre-developed apartments is now ready to welcome residents in search of a ‘walking distance’ lifestyle. Well-connected community offers convenient public and private transport access to nearby free zones and Dubai’s major commercial hubs. Selection of retail units also available for immediate leasing

Expo Village is set to welcome its new residents as Expo City Dubai officially re-opened its doors to visitors earlier this month. Developed by Dubai World Trade Centre as the official residential community of Expo 2020 Dubai, Expo Village exclusively accommodated the international participants of the region’s first World Expo that took place from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.

Located minutes away from the Expo 2020 Metro Station and the Dubai Exhibition Centre - one of the main public entrances to Expo City, Expo Village comprises 2,273 residential apartments all located within four residential community clusters. As the Expo Villages’ master agent, Savills Middle East has been mandated to initially lease out the first release of the ready-to-move residential and retail units.

The residential units with Savills include studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in various layout formats and come with both furnished or unfurnished options. They provide striking views of the community, Expo Park and Expo City Dubai, including the magnificent Al Wasl Dome. The apartments, which vary in size from 65 to 138 square metres, are finished with premium materials and top-grade fittings, all maintained to the highest standard with on-site security and maintenance. Allocated parking is provided with every apartment and there are plenty of visitor car parking areas.

Given its connected location, the Expo Village community already benefits from the robust public and private transport infrastructure network that was built for the global event with the new community being in close proximity to some of Dubai’s rapidly growing economic zones like Jafza and Dubai South. The onsite Expo 2020 Metro Station is a five-minute walk away and provides excellent connectivity to Dubai Investments Park, Ibn Battuta Mall and DMCC’s Jumeirah Lakes Towers.

As the only ready-to-move residential apartments directly connected to the Expo City Dubai site, Expo Village is a pedestrian-friendly community with the 37,000 square metre Expo Park at its heart. A dedicated community jogging track connects to an extensive cycling track, allowing plenty of space for residents to take up exercise and a healthy daily lifestyle. Each residential cluster has its own range of amenities including fully-equipped gyms, dedicated adult and children’s swimming pools and play zones.

Designed to accommodate up to 5,000 residents, the Expo Village development features 42 leasable retail units to serve the growing demand for the community’s daily lifestyle and convenience amenities. The Expo Village’s onsite retail offering currently includes a community supermarket, pharmacy, medical clinic and a number of food and beverage outlets.

Expo Village is the third major exclusive leasing instruction Savills Middle East has won in as many months. It comes on the heels of premium residential buildings Capital Views and Ajwan Towers in Abu Dhabi.
