Savills: Envirotech sells 148.8MW battery energy storage system project to Elements Green

Savills Earth Capital Advisors (SECA) has advised Envirotech on the sale of the Bolney Green Energy Hub, a 148.8MW battery energy storage system (BESS) located near Wineham, to Elements Green for an undisclosed sum.

Following the successful signing of a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA), Elements Green has assumed full ownership of the West Sussex development, marking a significant expansion of the company’s UK renewable energy portfolio.

Developed by the experienced team at Envirotech Energy Solutions, the Bolney Green Energy Hub, featuring a 148.8MW BESS with a four-hour duration, received planning approval from Mid Sussex District Council in September 2024 and is scheduled to become fully operational in Q4 2027.

David Cunningham, Co-Head of SECA, commented, “We’re pleased to have supported Envirotech in this transaction, which represents an important step in advancing the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future.”

Savills Earth Capital Advisors provides M&A and transactional support services to the energy and infrastructure sector, including full bank grade financial models covering a mix of merchant and tolling revenues for the battery storage assets.
