The ready-to-build solar project has a capacity of c.25 MW and is located to the west of Warwick in the West Midlands. The scheme is expected to connect into the local distribution network, with a targeted connection date of April 2027.
Fuse Energy is expected to now progress the project through construction ahead of its targeted commissioning date.
Blair Ferguson, Associate Director, SECA, comments, “Pelagic Energy Development have delivered a well-structured ready-to-build project with a clear connection pathway and strong locational fundamentals in the West Midlands. It has been a pleasure to advise the Pelagic team on this disposal, and Sherbourne is a good example of the type of consented, near-term construction asset that continues to attract competitive interest from a broad range of UK buyers”.
The project is expected to contribute to the UK’s renewable energy pipeline and support wider decarbonisation ambitions.
