Savills Earth strengthens Energy team with new appointment

International real estate advisor Savills has appointed Sam Nicole as a Director within its Savills Earth division, further enhancing the firm’s energy, infrastructure and renewables capabilities across the UK.

Sam will bring additional industry expertise to the consultancy team, helping to grow Savills EV charging services particularly for large scale EV and eHGV deployments; as well as strengthening client support on grid infrastructure, drawing on his experience within an Independent Connection Provider (ICP).

He joins from EO Charging, having previously worked at eSmart Networks. Over the past 4 years, Sam has delivered more than 50 MVA of demand connections across a wide range of EV and ICP projects. At EO, he focused on developing and delivering large commercial electrification schemes, including major bus depot projects for operators new to the EV market.

Before moving into energy, Sam worked in large scale civil engineering and geotechnics, delivering building foundations and major infrastructure projects.

Sam Nicole, Director, Savills Earth, says, “I am thrilled to be joining Savills at a time when the pace of electrification is accelerating. There are huge opportunities to support clients as they navigate the practical and commercial challenges of transitioning to low carbon transport and infrastructure, and I’m looking forward to strengthening and growing the team’s capabilities.”

Phil Pearson, Director, Energy, Renewables and Infrastructure at Savills, added, “Sam brings a wealth of experience from both the EV and ICP sectors and his understanding of large scale commercial electrification will be valuable to our clients. His appointment further enhances our ability to deliver strategic and technically robust advice across the energy and infrastructure landscape.”
