The economics of scarcity supporting offices

The global office sector is in recovery, or at least it was. The ongoing fallout from President Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs threaten to disrupt the fledgling recovery in the office market. In the short term rising uncertainty will have an impact on leasing activity. However, uncertainty will feed into weaker development activity – compounding the shortage of good-quality office space in most global markets.
