A prime development site in the heart of the Edgbaston Conservation Area has been sold following the grant of detailed planning permission for 207 student beds.
Advised by the Savills Birmingham Development team, Calthorpe Estates has completed the sale of 9–10 Frederick Road to Study Inn, who will now progress plans to demolish the existing office building and deliver a five-storey block of purpose-built student accommodation.
The site, extending to approximately 0.49 acres (0.2 hectares), sits within the prestigious Calthorpe Estate and benefits from excellent transport links, including Five Ways station and the newly built Edgbaston Village tram stop. It is ideally located for students, with the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, and Aston University all within easy reach.
