After a good start to the year, global investment in the living sector fell in the second quarter. A decline in investment across single and multifamily was partially offset by growth in more niche sectors, including student and senior living. Investor demand for the living sector remains firm, with a lack of opportunities to deploy holding back activity in some markets. Appetite to transact remains grounded in the strength of occupational markets, supported by both supply and demand factors.
